Position Overview:

Responsible for quoting gear material from plans and specifications on construction projects. This may also include building a Bill of Material from a blueprint or working with a customer to suggest products on design-build projects.

Primary Duties:

  • Taking a Bill of Material for a construction project and creating a complete and professional gear quotation using computer software.
  • Interact with electrical contractors, architects, engineers, and owners to suggest gear products to be used on all types of construction projects.
  • Take off Bills of Material from blueprints and specifications.
  • Negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers.
  • Act as source of technical expertise within the branch. Provide feedback to sales team regarding quotation and order activity.
  • Collect and analyze quotations data to determine patterns of success or failure. Measure by product type, manufacturer, bid amounts, and customers.
  • Effectively communicate with our customers to determine the best approach to assist them in preparing the bid. This may include other material to quote


  • Individual must possess strong PC skills and product knowledge. Must have the ability to work quickly and accurately under severe time constraints and pressure. In addition, must possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be a self starter, detail-oriented, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Product and application knowledge as well as an understanding of the bid process.
  • Background in wholesale electrical distribution or electrical contracting are very helpful.

This position is in our main branch location, Woodridge IL, and is full time, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive compensation package including paid vacation, health benefits and a 401K. A college degree is preferred but not required.

 Warehouse Associate for our busy Central Warehouse location on Davey Road in Woodridge, IL.

Position Requirements include:

  • Pick, pack and release orders
  • Ensure order accuracy
  • Assist in loading trucks and maintaining a neat and safe warehouse
  • Cycle counting inventory
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Provide friendly and helpful service to customers picking up orders from the warehouse.
